I can't place an order, what should I do?
Updated over a week ago

There may be several reasons why you cannot open a new order. Please check if you have deposited a minimum deposit amount into your account. It is also important to check the following:

  • Whether it is correct the trading hours for the instrument

  • If you have enough funds to open this order

  • If the volume is correct because you cannot open trades with a volume lower or higher than allowed. You can check the maximum and minimum size allowed by the instrument in the Contract Specifications.

Example: The minimum volume allowed for Brent is 0.1 contracts, so if we try to trade with a lower volume of 0.01 contracts, the buy and sell buttons will be blocked:

  • If the instrument is not in close-only mode (right-click on the instrument in the "Specifications" section of Market Watch).

close only

  • If you are selecting the correct instrument for your account type. This is one of the most common problems that we face when connecting our Zero.MT4 or Zero.MT5 account in MetaTrader that we either do not find the corresponding instruments for said account, the chart does not update, or we see a black chart with no quotes.

This happens because of the instruments of the Zero.MT4 and Zero.MT5 accounts have the ending"-Z".

To add these instruments to the Market Watch please follow the below steps:

  • Right-click on "Market Watch"

  • Select "Show all" and then open the charts of the instruments with the correct ending “-Z”.

If you continue to experience issues when opening an order, please get in touch with us.
