What is an OTP for a trading account?

OTP - one-time password, which you can link to your trading account. In this case, each time you connect to the trading account, you will need to enter the OTP.


The one-time password is generated directly in the MetaTrader mobile application on your phone, without connecting a trading account. You can enable or disable it for your trading account in the mobile application.

How to Enable/Disable OTP for a Trading Account on iPhone?

Open the MetaTrader 4/5 mobile application and go to Settings - OTP.

After that, it will be necessary to create a secure password for the OTP.


Then a section will open where a one-time password is generated and you can enable or disable it for the trading account.


To enable or disable it, select "Bind to Account".

You must enter your account number and password.
If the switcher is active you will enable OTP for the trading account.
If the switcher is in the inactive position you will be able to disable the OTP for the trading account.

How to Enable/Disable OTP for a Trading Account on Android?

Open the MetaTrader 4\5 mobile app, tap the three lines in the corner and open the side menu. Go to the Accounts section - tap the shield icon.

After that, it will be necessary to create a secure password for the OTP.
Then a section will open where a one-time password is generated and you can enable or disable it for the trading account. To enable or disable it, select "Bind to Account".
